Each year we have given away hundreds of boxes at Thanksgiving and through the Christmas holidays. This year we expect to hand out some 400 to 500 boxes just for the month of November. It will be a time of year when most need more help. Many of those we serve have jobs that are affected by the weather and the holidays. A few days off due to inclement weather or 2 days off (for the holiday) which seems like a gift to many of us, is a hard hit for some. There are many who don’t have paid holidays. There are those that struggle all year and then when they need it most a shortfall in income happens.

Some may even decline inviting family over or not going to a family event because they just don’t have the food. This is our time to be of true service. We can make it so those people have reason to celebrate. They can know that they are loved by the community they live in.

It may seem like it is months away, but here at CCM we must prepare early. So, from now till the end of the year we will be collecting the following list for our Holiday boxes. We appreciate all your help in feeding those less fortunate.
