Q: How many times may a person visit a Second Harvest Emergency Food Bank?

Food box customers may receive 3 food boxes in a 6 month period.  The 6 month period is based on the actual date the customer begins receiving their food assistance.

Q: Do we provide meals to the Homeless?

Yes, we provide a daily lunch bag to those in the community that are homeless.

Q: Do we provide onsite meals?

No

Q: What type of food donations do you accept?

We will gladly accept canned , boxed and frozen food donations anytime.  Fresh produce is greatly appreciated, however, our space is limited, so please call ahead.

Q: Can we come in and purchase clothes?

No, we are not a thrift store.  Clothes are available only after qualifying for food with the interviewers and only available only on that day.

Q: Do we accept clothing donations?

Yes, we welcome gently used clothing.  Our space is limited, please call before delivering to the center.

Q: Can we come in and get bread and produce whenever we want?

No, we are not a grocery store.  Food is available for those that qualify on the day they qualify.

Q: Why can’t we come in when we want if we are in the system?

CCM provides food on a day-to-day basis.  Unfortunately the need is greater than the supply. In order to meet the need of those that arrive each day to go through the process,  we must limit what we provide.  Hopefully this will allow us to help everyone to some degree.

Q: Do you provide financial assistance with rent, electric? bus passes?

No, we are unable to offer any financial assistance.

Q: Do you deliver food?

No.  Most our workers are volunteers and we are, even then, under staffed.

Q: Do you provide information for the food stamp program?

Routinely a food stamp representative will work in our facility, but days vary.  Call the center for specifics.
